Smile Intercultural communications - 10-12-2007, 04:27 AM

Hi guys!!

I was wondering if any one would be interested in helping me out a little? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance. Ok so I am in an intercultural communications class. One of my assignments requires me to interview some one from another culture and get a little information on their culture. Would any one be interested in helping me out?

If you would here are some questions that I need answered:

1. Are there any cultural biases?
2.What is your culture’s influence on the communication of the members of your culture?
3. How is cultural identity influencing what is said and how it is perceived?
4. What theories/concepts can you use to explain possible misunderstandings?
5. Are social episodes and interpersonal relationships defined in a particular way in your culture?
6. Are there any special or unique uses of language?
7. What are the beliefs, values, norms, and social practices of your culture?

Like I said before thank you so much in advance. I have been researching a lot on the Japanese culture and it is very interesting to me. So if there is any other information that you would like to add I would love to hear it.

Thank you !!!
Have a good day!!
