True, what does any of this have to do with being open minded?
Being open minded is a thought process. It's about being receptive to new ideas or information. It's about being open to the possibility that the idea could be true or false.
This is different from experiencing something new, I could experience new things, broaden my horizons etc, I could watch hentai, eat insects, mug old ladies or jump in front of a bus. So what?
Being open-minded is more about weighing up the pros and cons of doing these things, to reflect upon them. To do something because it's there to be done is surely just being closed-minded?
Something like Kino's Journey will always be more thought provoking then hentai, and is a lot better too.
