Is it ok to speak like that? I mean, does it even sound normal to Japanese lol...? I pieced it up using what i have picked up so far lol...
As Masaegu rightly suggests "taberu" is much more commonly used and the word you want to be worrying about as a beginner, but using the word "kuu" {extremely crude/casual} you would say:-

りんごがくいたい
ringo ga kuitai
"I want to eat an apple".

note: "kuu" is a very rough word, you should avoid using it in polite conversation.
