Someone's signature should not take up half my screen. It's annoying, it's unnecessary, and I don't even know why it's allowed in the first place.

Any chance on rational thinking here and limiting the length of someone's signature at all? There has to be some reasonable length that the mods, and admins of this board can come to a conclusion on that isn't "too small"? Something like no more than 5~8 lines of text (text without being wrapped in size code).

This is something I'm gonna have to play party to. The only reason I've never brought it up was because I felt it wasn't much of an issue. However, it has come to our understanding that this does not excuse the fact of oversized signatures being a redundant annoyance.

We have, therefore, as moderators of JF, arrived at an unanimous decision: All Japanforum signatures should NOT exceed 300 pixels in length (the size of the width is retained as previously stated), regardless of circumstances, opportunity costs, or any other prior pretexts anyone can use.

With the exception of the repercussions, this policy overwhelms the original rule, which states:

We are implementing this policy, as of now, meaning it takes immediate effect after this post. Of course, we aren't unreasonable people ^_^; Taking into meticulous consideration the different timezones of our members, we will give leeway to all forum users, in the form of providing all of you with 2 days to alter your signature sizes.
