It made me cry too!!! I never EVER cry during movies or anything, but Hana Yori Dango won my heart! (hint, look at my username!) I liked Rui at first, and then I started liking Domyouji a lot more because Makino did. I own the two seasons on DVD and they have subs and everything. I have watched them a hundred times over!

How could you not like season 2 better? I do agree, though, that the elevator scene was my favorite, but I still love season 2 way better.
Plus, I get to be in Japan when the movie comes out! It comes out on June 28th! Yay!!!
