americans call universit college, they like to think their different by using different words for things.

anyway many schools charge around 500,000円 per year as a base and it can go up quite a bit from there. I have a feeling my friends (japanese) told me that the university i did exchange at they had to pay 1,000,000円 per semester.

although you are not going to have much luck studying in japan unless you are pretty fluent in japanese. you would need to take a language program first. quite a few universities offer a language program you can study which you can then, if passing entry exam, you can enter the universities.

you know just for shits and giggles i did a search for japanese university fees and guess what? there were results. so you should try searching and doing some research yourself.

you can get scholarships to help with your study, i had the JASSO scholarship. but there is no government funding, support system, as far as im aware
