Forget McDonalds, there are a ton of authentic Japanese foods that are not raw fish. There are lots of different kinds of donburi (rice bowl with meat on top, such as chicken, beef, or pork cutlet), tonkatsu (pork cutlet), kara'age (fried chicken), zosui (rice and meat stew), yakisoba (Japanese chow mein), okonomiyaki (egg and batter mixed with meat and veggies), ramen, udon, curry, etc. Plus there are tons of Chinese restaurants in Japan, as well as some other foreign food. I don't like raw fish either, but I lived there for 2 years and had plenty of things to eat!
