I know this topic is a joke, but I thought everyone just *might* be interested...

Japan doesn`t really do adoption. It`s really rare. You can only adopt someone from overseas if they`re under 2, and even then it`s extremely difficult. Domestic adoption of children is pretty much nonexistent.

If you just want to "add" someone to your family for inheritance purposes though, it`s really easy. But they have to be an adult and already have Japanese citizenship.

....I can`t have any more chldren, so looked into this....
