Cos its a social thing to do like drinking alcohol. I'm sure that is pretty much it really ;/
Its pretty sad that weak willed people go ahead and smoke after they've seen their family members die of the same crap and whatever. Those people as well who say they'll never smoke but start hanging out with a bunch of people who do smoke and pick up the habit.
