I love teachers who speak their minds.. but there's a difference between speaking your mind and then just saying something completely unnecessary.
I would have no objection to a teacher discussing the issue of gay marriage rationally. I encourage open discourse as often as possible. But the topic of incest is incredibly insensitive and inflammatory, and is not germain to the issue.

I am not familiar with Aldine specifically, but there are many schools in Texas where one can still get away with such things - the reason I said in "some" it would get him fired, not even in most I regret to say. And no, you speaking up about it to the administration would only cause you problems.

However, there is an active chapter of GLAAD in Houston and they can handle the heat if anyone ever needs to address such an issue.
