In regards to Chinese... I`ve always been interested in learning it. I had originally planned to study Japanese for a while, then move on to Chinese or Korean. Life intervened and things didn`t go quite as planned, however.

The biggest worry I would have with studying it is that I wouldn`t be able to do the tones correctly. That is a new one for me as it isn`t in English or Japanese.

So a starter question - How does the tone system work in Chinese?
