If it's Ok to hijack this thread for a moment, I've always had a nagging issue with i-adjectives. The above sentence sounds perfect to me, but
Tae Kim was always adamant about not attaching copulas to i-adjectives as you did. So, is your sentence correct? Or is it not purely grammatically correct, but colloquially accepted by native speakers?
