You're making a mountain out of a molehill. Do what's natural for you to ask this girl out, without making it obvious that you're trying to court her, being that she's already with someone. If you're both hitting it off, and she likes ya', make a move.
Don't psychoanalyze it. Don't think too hard about it. Don't make 12 different plans so that you got your bases covered. Just do it. Simple as that. You may feel a slight buzzing feeling in the middle of your gut when you do it, but you'll be happy you did once it's all said and done.
