I wasn't aware that America doesn't have a working-holiday visa. Silly Americans, when will you catch up with the times! Temporary immigration/emigration isn't so bad!

In so far as 'other visas', you'd have to bring something to the table the company couldn't get from a native Japanese for them to even consider sponsoring you. Hence why most English-speakers are there on 'Specialist in Humanitarian Services' visas for eikaiwas.

I'd love to go back, but its not financially viable at this juncture. That, and my Japanese is pretty piss poor now too.

By the by, what section of Osaka are you staying in? Happen to be near the Tennouji or Abeno-bashi wards?
