All is possible assuming that you are staying in Kyoto during this part of your trip.
You will be passing Fushimi Inari on your way from Uji to Kyoto even if you don't want to.
If I'm not mistaken, Hyperdia does you no good unless you know the actual station names. Googling in Japanese is the best way to go and I don't mind doing it for you in the planning.
