I’d like to say I have faith in humanity, but it really depends on how you want to use the term.

Do I have faith that humans as a whole will work together in their own individual way to overcome ailments that are plaguing the world today? If truly pressed, then sure…why not?

Will I go out and trust random individuals because they are a part of the human race? That’s probably not the smartest thing to do.

Additionally,
I think you can maintain a faith in humanity as long as you have conditioned yourself to invest your faith in those that deserve it… if that even makes sense. But anyways, yes! Those who have lost faith in humanity are probably those who invest/focus heavily on people who betray that trust.
Sit back, observe, calculate AND THEN invest... in other words, individuals should always focus on making themselves good judges of character...I'm sure the disappointments will drastically decrease that way.
