That's what I was wondering when I was in Australia.
I think I heard "brochures" more than "catalogues"...
maybe just a coincient?

but for Japanese, at least for me...
カタログandパンフレット will do.

maybe it depends on what the contents in it.
カタログis more like... a list of something in it
パンフレット doesn't matter if the list there or not.

Anyone can help me with better explanation?!
