I really never had people ask me that question, But I would tell them I would have my reasons. I would like to learn it cause (like you) I like the Japanese culture and I think its an interesting language. I also have thought from time to time of moving there for a few years just to get out of the country and experience the world a little, so learning it would help
. Good luck for me learning it though, there is no college where I live that has a japanese course except for private religious schools
