In the big cities it will be hard to find a bargain on a used kimono if you are looking for "the real thing". Out in the boonies... and if you speak that language a bit,....... the "pickings" are much better.

Are you sure you do not mean a yukata? Those are not silk, but cotton.... and are FAR cheaper. They can have an obi with them too. They can be very beautiful also. To a lot of Westerners.... it generically gets called "kimono".... but it really is not.
