Anime or manga ?

Hi everyone!:ywave: I'd like to know which do you think is better: ANIME or MANGA?
I don't really know which is the best >.< I like both! But what do you prefer?

shinigami13 03-18-2008 01:16 PM

I like both too but maybe manga because they're usually done better

titika 03-18-2008 01:24 PM

You think so huh? I belive that too... And many other people have told me the same...

Ariana 03-18-2008 04:28 PM

I THINK THAT I LIKE MANGA BETTER BECAUSE YOU SEE THE ORIGINAL ART, AND YOU CAN TAKE YOUR TIME READING AND ANALIZYNG THE CHARACTERS.:vsign:

lulu 03-18-2008 04:49 PM

I agree. Anime are good too though... But sometimes they change the story a bit, like Fruits Basked. The end of the episodes is different from the manga.

Choon 03-19-2008 12:30 AM

Manga ftw!

Obscene 03-19-2008 01:36 AM

Oh lord, this is an easy question. I would have to say Manga indefinitely. Most of the times, when you watch an anime that is also a manga; you miss out on a lot of things that were important. Like, 99.9% of the time. xD

sasuke91 03-19-2008 03:33 AM

hmmmmm i think ill go with anime
but in some the manga is much much better :rheart: :vsign:

SSJup81 03-19-2008 04:10 AM

I'd have to say manga for the most part. You, usually, are able to get more background on the characters and more story in general compared to anime, which is usually an adaptation anyway. Of course there are some series where I might prefer the animated counterpart to the manga, like say, Naruto or Bleach, since they're so "action packed", but usually dramas, I almost always take the manga over it.

animelover32 03-19-2008 08:31 PM

Manga. It explains the story line a hell of a lot better and they can get away with more things when it comes to violence or sexual things.

KibaKun 03-19-2008 09:16 PM

Manga. I can understand the story better if I read it myself.

kawaiionigiri23 03-22-2008 05:35 AM

i guess it kinda depends on the series...like to me, most anime is better cuz of the animation stuff but some series(like furuba) is better in the manga! :p

sequoya 03-22-2008 11:50 AM

I purrfur Anime over manga

CelestialChild 03-22-2008 06:36 PM

It depends on a lot of things. For example, in terms of simple story, I liked the first season of Magic Knight Rayearth better as portrayed by the anime rather than the manga; the manga was short-paced and didn't take much time to appreciate the world of Cephiro. As far as Part II, the manga was certainly better.

There's also the fact that not all anime began with manga, and sometimes the process happened in reverse.

YEAH, I AGREE WITH YOU, I ALSO UNDERSTAND THE STORY BETTER IF I READ IT MYSELF.

I am one of those that say "The book is better than the movie" whether manga that has been turned into anime or novels that have seen the big screen I prefer to read them.

Don't get me wrong I love Anime, but I prefer to read the original work at its finest art. I find it more rewarding viewing the orginal art by the author than their animated counterparts. Except maybe with Outlaw Star...I think I prefered the anime.:D

molinameister 03-26-2008 09:03 PM

i like anime, but i think manga is alot better because of art and some other things.

kitski 03-26-2008 09:08 PM

for about half a year ago i would have said anime for sure but recently i have been reading mangas and frankly i love them.

SamuraiAlchemistNinja 03-26-2008 09:15 PM

I like reading manga better. But, I absolutely LOVE to see the characters in action. If they can do what the manga did in the anime, it's good. But if the story's not the same...aaah, it's a tough choice.

persiandragon 03-26-2008 09:41 PM

hard to choose cause there are some series where i like the anime but don't like the manga and vice versa. most of the time i like both though.

zachart 03-26-2008 09:44 PM

Anime!!! Is Some What Better Than Manga!!

Corvin 04-04-2008 11:40 PM

Definetely manga. I haven't ever seen anime which could be better than manga. I love anime, but characters lose some part of them in anime. However, anime is varied by music. IMO, music isn't enough convincing argument to persuade me, that anime is better.

reihiino 04-05-2008 12:38 AM

Manga. Although I was introduced to anime 1st, manga has always been a favorite.

Diclonius 04-05-2008 02:42 PM

I have to say I'm generally an anime person (as in dvd's; subtitled or japanese editions), because I love the visual effects and soundtracks in some series, not to mention a lot of vocal qualities (the japanese ones that is of course). I do have a few manga series though, but I bought them after I watched their anime versions. I'm very selective in that matter (they mustn't have too many volumes). The ones I do have I hold very dear.

SMGotenks 04-06-2008 11:19 AM

I very like both of manga and anime :P
Don't know, who more...
