A lot of flashing lights in the anime, perhaps?

a couple of years ago, there were cases of children watching a pokemon episode containing a "flashing scene" where the children has epileptic seizures and had to be taken to the hospital. after this incident the TV-stations added an advisory.

for more info, wikipedia

come to think of it, it was probably close to ten years ago, i'm getting old.

Yeah, it's probably to take strain off your eyes, but you almost have to sit clsoe to the computer screen, so unless you have an adapter to your TV yo ureally have no choice : P

I downloaded and watched the Porygon episode, and got nothing (Although I was afraid to watch it at first). I think they changed the DVD version so that the blinking is slower.
