MAGIC and SORCERY manga
 

I was reading FAIRY TAIL, and it is very funny, but wondered about other manga with magic and sorcery themes, where there are wizards and people cast spells.... Do you know any?

Well, at least for anime, there's the classic Slayers, and also Sorcerous Stabber Orphen

There's also a manga called Bastard which is worth checking out

a lot of the clamp ones are pretty magical :)

Mahou Sensei Negima is magic based. I'm sure you could tell by the name. lol It's a cute series. Where the manga series is now in Japan, they're finally in the magical world (Mahora World)
