Anime that you forced yourself to finish

Hmm. There have been a lot of anime that turned sour but I still forced myself to watch. I got this idea because I'm watching an anime called Groove Adventure Rave,...and well, even though it just keeps getting worse and worse...im forcing myself to finish it, even though its painful.

List an anime that went downhill but you still forced yourself to finish the entire series.

Asakura 05-15-2008 04:03 AM

Samurai Champloo. Sorry that anime left a bad taste in my mouth.

BakaCrisis 05-15-2008 04:07 AM

Really? heh I seemed to enjoy it.

Also I may add D.N.Angel... I hate that show wit ha passion now.

Crani 05-15-2008 04:20 PM

Apokalipse Zero, although it was a 2 episode ova, it was a big crap all the way not even the senseless violence made it good. So for all of you who think this may be a good experience, don't WATCH IT! It's time you won't get back.

HikaruTwin 05-16-2008 02:56 AM

Higurashi. I think it's a bit creepy, but I still watch it anyway.

ForeverDreamer 05-16-2008 04:48 PM

D.N.Angel...I didn't like the English Daisuke...>_<
Serial Experiments Lain was also..interesting. really confusing, but i finished

BakaCrisis 05-16-2008 05:04 PM

AGGG! LAIN! yea, I saw the whole series one morning at 1 A.M.... Went to school like... "I should have gone to sleep"

ILOVEJAPAN 05-16-2008 08:27 PM

Hmmm...I think I've forced myself to watch until the end of a lot of sereis that went down hill quickly. The only one I can think of off the top of my head right now though is Blood+. I despised that show before I had even seen 10 episodes, but I still forced myself all the way through.

rainbowarisu 05-16-2008 08:29 PM

None for me, because I honestly don't have the patience to stick with a series.

chaseme 05-19-2008 01:19 PM

normally i give anime 3-4 episodes before i decide to finish

and for anime that i liked the theme/artwork but not the actually story i give them 8-10 episode before i give up

allie2590 05-19-2008 01:48 PM

I'll probably get flamed for this, but I'll have to say Inuyasha. The show was awesome in the first couple of seasons, but after that it got repetitive and seemed like it was being dragged out. But I wanted to see how it would end, but I ended up missing the last episode.

TalnSG 05-19-2008 02:28 PM

Allie2590, admitting the last one I forced myself to sit through may get even more flames.

I cannot understand how anyone can sit through Bleach.

The graphics are ok, Yasutora Sado (Chad), is even interesting, and some of the costuming was enough to make me check out the series. But the audio track made me turn it off several times before I could force myself to sit through all of even one episode. Ichigo's voice is grating any time he's not muttering quietly. And the screaming matches "at home" are way too far over the top and just too irritating to bear.

And here I had thought the uber-cutesy ones were the hardest to endure.

timelesssymphony 05-19-2008 02:34 PM

allie2590 you didn't miss much in the last episode of Inuyasha there like damn naraku got away oh well lets keep being friends and we'll get him some day! The manga is getting close to an end now, they just need to form a we love kikiyo fan club and there set. I couldn't stand the end of Kenshin I forced myself to watch the last season of crap where there threw random stuff at the audience trying to improve ratings before it got canceled.

chaseme 05-19-2008 02:43 PM

i havent even see inuyasha
ive seen the commercials about it but it never seems to catch my curiousity

TalnSG 05-19-2008 02:56 PM

Apparently Inuyasha comes on here just before something else I normally watch, or when I am doing something else out of habit, because I have watched abotu 3 episodes now without planning to. Don't particularly care one way or another about it, but I can still hear Kikyo calling his name. Definitely and strong audial imprint.

Tatsuki 05-19-2008 03:18 PM

I forced myself to finish DearS.
It was just extremely boring imo.

Nakishee 05-20-2008 02:30 PM

GetBackers :o
started off great...thennn...it kinda faded to me

Baubles 05-20-2008 09:56 PM

Well even though I was eight at the time I have to say Dragonball, DBZ, and DBGT

deathnotegirl 05-20-2008 10:01 PM

i haven't yet but i might have to soon... getting kinda sick wiht Inuyasha at this moment in time... but i think i'll just watch the rest

Kenta21 05-28-2008 11:22 PM

Boogiepop phantom

KuChIkI 05-31-2008 05:28 PM

Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play and DNAngel. It was hard for me to finish because both of them were so sad at the very end, and I have barely any emotional support for that kind of thing.
Oh, and Mot~to! Ojamajo Doremi. The ending was kinda boring, and I was watching the raw episodes without having a clue what they were saying.

kyo_9 05-31-2008 05:46 PM

berserk, hajime no ippo, suzuka...

Scoob94P 05-31-2008 06:33 PM

manganimefan227 05-31-2008 09:25 PM
