so a person that makes an anime can be called an animator. What kind of proffesion is that(in like the business world)?

Well, there are different types of anime animators, so I guess it depends on what they animate.
There's those that draw people and other living things, those that draw vehicles and other inanimate objects, and those that edit other people's animations

Depends on what area of anime production you are talking about. Most animes are based of of manga. Mangaka is only an artist, gensakusha is a writer.

A lot of anime are based on manga I don't know if I would say most...I've seen quite a few anime that don't have manga counter parts and vise versa.
