Gurren Lagann Dissapointment - 08-21-2008, 06:07 AM

Hello, Japan forum! It's been a very long time =P

Pmad here. I wonder if any of you remember me? =D

Anyways, back to the point; GAINAX is the company responsible for, amongst other amazing works, FLCL and Evangelion. These anime are complete opposites, but if you were to combine them you would probably get something just like Gurren Lagann.

Now Gurren Lagann was amazing for the first half, and even a lot into the second half, but it seems to me that as the series went on, it lost most of it's humor and slowly began to resemble...well...the Power Rangers. Am I the only one that feels that the humor/drama ratio went from perfect to melodramatic in the last 7 or 8 episodes?

In the end I still loved it, but I still feel it took a turn for the worst towards the end (ARC-gurren-lagann? A gurren-lagann for Gurren-Lagann? That pissed me off. It was stupid!)
Anyhow, what do you guys think? :3

I see how you mean about Gurrenn Lagann. I agree to the fact that, it's storytelling was a little off. But it comes around.

I was really pissed of when Kamina dies, but then again that might have been what they where trying to do.
