According to the online Japanese dictionary, hentai means metamorphosis or abnormality, while hentaiseiyoku means abnormal sexuality. However, according to one of the references to hentai on wikipedia; one in particular: The 'H does not mean hentai' page, this guy, Kamagi made a big fuss about the whole subject. The only thing that I thought to be true is that hentai is sometimes an abbreviation for hentaiseiyoku. Other than that, I said to myself on everything else while reading all the pages: "Unless you are actually in Japan and you actually saw how the adult Anime, manga, etc. is labled in places where they have Anime.... I will not believe you." So mebbie I can have someone actually from Japan, who can speak english to tell me what is correct and whether all that Kamagi had on his page is true or not. Somehow I figured you will be the first to answer my question. Your response actually makes more sense than what Kamagi said for some reason.... |
