Has anyone watched the Freedom OVA's? (from the creator of Akira)
I've been curious about this anime since seeing the Nissin Cup o' Noodle ads featuring the characters. From what I can tell, the ads actually spawned the animation.
Has anyone seen it? Is it worth a watch?  |
I have been wanting to watch this myself. I heard it was a 7 episode OVA based in Space somewhere on another planet.
Katsuhiro Otomo, (creator of AKIRA) did all the character and mecha designs for Freedom, but he wasn't the Director, just the Artist. I hear it's fairly good and I am interested in another Otomo does anyways. So I say watch it. PS. Yep, Freedom was a promotional project for Nissin's cup Noodle 35th Anniversary. |
I saw the first episode a while ago and it wasn't as good as I expected, and the art is kind of odd (Akira 3D), and the story was kind of borring, I hope it gets more interesting later on.
