Why do we like anime? - 03-14-2007, 09:15 PM

For what reason do we like anime? It's like we're insects attracted to a porch light.

Anime Lover - 03-14-2007, 09:21 PM

I can't help but love it. I've still the largest crush on Stellar from Gundam Seed Destiny... Damn reality... [sob]

Perhaps its the great feeling as being taken to an alternate reality where anything is possible. Kind of like reading... without the pounding brain and sore eyes part. [pain]

As for bugs to a porch light... don't bugs get zapped and fried? [ouch]
(what do you think they are thinking?) "pretty ... ZAP! " (twitch twitch)

I personally like anime for the personalities that are put into the characters. Its fun to put yourself into the anime and pretend the events are happening to you.

Poor Stellar

I really don't know why i love anime.....i think that it's because i enjoy being a kid, but i can't always watch like Seasame Street and all the cartoons that i want to watch.....anime is a semi-grown-up cartoon.....lol

The charcters are usually amazing. All the characters from Inuyasha and the Dragonball series seemed realistic, whereas most American animation has characters with childish personalities.

I love it so much that I cried when I found out Inuyasha was ended.

True, the events in anime are usually fantasic, and that's probably the main draw towards anime.

The art style is awesome, stories are better than anything on TV.

There's no way you could have something like Death Note on TV in the US.
