I write more books than I read... At least the last couple of years. Or at least it seems that way.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

I am a 100% obsessed, hardcore and full-on hooked manga reader and have been for the past few years, it's all I've ever read, is all I ever read and will always be all that I'll ever read

japan isn't about those things ;P i actually hardly now people my age who watch anime, some of them buy manga every now and then.
for real? I know there's more exciting stuff there, than just manga books, manga books are the equivalent to comic books here, it's just something out there. I dont' read any american comic books for some reason.

And for these manga books I've learned quite a lot on ettiquette.

i read textbooks, too.

But to despair was to wish back for something already lost.
Or to prolong what was already unbearable.

Well, nothing for the last few years at least. But I did have a lot of stuff in magazines, short story compilations, etc back before I came to Japan. I won quite a number of writing awards.
The thing is, my Japanese - no matter how hard I try - is not on par with my English when it comes to that level of writing... But, I started thinking a bit recently and realized how much of an incredible waste it is to just give up on things. Hence the effort toward something I feel I would be happy with sending off to a publisher.

ah, but thats an assumption. We only talk about manga because this is the manga/anime board.

I started the haruki murakami thread. Go check it out. [in the gendisc. board.]

I would consider myself a mixed reader. I like to read novels of both english and japanese and I also like anime.
I read the manga to an anime I liked sometimes too.

Of course we read other stuff.

Im a big fantasy/sci-fi fan myself (ALL Tolkien is awesome, Harry Potter, Inheritance cycle, Abhorsen trilogy, orson scott card books, The Disc world series by Terry Pratchett, C.S. Lewis... the list goes on)

But this is a Japanese forum in the section about manga/anime so here we talk about manga/anime... in my mind this makes perfect sense.

Peace!
