I think everyone should watch Dragon Ball Z at least once. Shingeki no Kyojin is awesome too, the art in the anime is way better than the manga. Inuyasha is also my favorite anime.

As I am old fashioned, let me recommend classic Japanese anime : AKIRA.

Voice in Japanese with Polish subtitles.
Lips move to the Japanese words.

Voice in English over dubbed by polish.

Both are full movie with 2 hours long.

Language makes Culture and Culture makes Language.

You are right Radiokid; I absolutely agree this was one of the most seen during this year.

I'm afraid AKIRA is not "for girls" but "for boys(young and aged)".

The author OTOMO, KATSUHIRO also creates many nice MANGA stories like as "DOUMU".

Oh, ok ...
Also the author is new to me ...
Doumu seems a seinen ... am I correct?
The word Doumu reminds me the Latin word Domus that means house ...
Doumu has the same meaning also in japanese?

DOMU or DOUMU is 童夢:Children's Dream. And also it implies English word "doom".

DOMU is not MANGA for children. In that sense, it is SEINEN (young adult) Manga if you mean it by "seinen".

OTOMO had gaven huge impact to the Japanese MANGA writers around 1970's to 1980's.
