I read them as published, in Japanese.
In the handful of English-translated versions I have seen, the translations always leave something to be desired... If not flat out changing the story or wrong in some cases.

As for me, I never have been heard the word "manga". But last week I saw in internet many beautiful manga pictures, they were great, so high detalized. For example I liked very much manga picture of Mirumoto Kei. It will be very interesting to read THE LEGEND OF THE FIVE RINGS on english, but I dont know where I can find it. Here, in Ukraine the word "manga" is unknown, not so many people know something about japanese culture, which is deep, famouse and great. As for me, manga is something more deep than symply a comix story.
I haven't been read noone manga story, but I liked pictures of characters. Some of this pictures seems to live - so high detalized. So, manga is discovery for me.
