Comiket manga show draws a half million visitors -

About 200,000 people in Japan flocked to Comic Market (or Comiket) 72, the world's largest manga fair, on its final day on Sunday, bringing the total number of visitors to to the fair to roughly 550,000, organizers said.
The Comiket event originated from a cartoon magazine exhibition launched in 1975. The next Comiket, Comic Market 73, is due to be held in Tokyo between Dec. 29 and 31. Source: Comiket manga exhibition marks 550,000 visitors over 3 days | Mainichi News
