"Weird" Animes
 

Have you ever gone looking for new animes to watch on youtube, cruchyroll or veoh? And when finding the anime and watch it, you can see already in the first five minutes its either odd or fanservice anime. Has that happened to you?

I love 'odd', that's why I watch films by Takashi Miike.
But I'm not really into fan service.
So not quite sure what you're talking about here. Sorry.
But hey, if you want to talk 'odd' I'm your man! :D

yes ..... someone told me about this "freaking awsome" anime called Elvin lied and in the first like 5 mins i was like OMG

I watched the first episode of Salaryman Kintaro in which he, well erm... sharpened some pencils. Now I wasn't expecting that.

I also like weird things...and Takashi Miike is one of my favorite directors :)

? Whats wrong with sharpining pencils? Or is that sybolic for somthing dirty, that I am an idiot for not getting?

Elfen Lied is one of my favorite anime :)

Nooo...T_T Please look past the gory exterior! I love that anime! And I don't even LIKE fan service! violence however, I'm ok with...As a major fan of this anime, i must say its a love or hate type of show, I just wish everyone would love it, neh?:(

I agree that many people who arent into violance and nudity would still like Elfen Lied. At its core the show is a romance/tragedy. Although violants is an important element, so if you cant handle it, you probably should avoid it. Thats why the first scene is so over the top; they are just trying to weed out the people who cant handle it right away.

The king and queen of wierd anime are Bobobo-Bobo-bobo, and Seto no Hanayome. Both are random, strangely writtten, and above all, hillarious in the way that they can hardly be taken seriously as works of value =P though I do sort of like Seto no Hanayome >_>
