1. my opinion
2. my favorite characters don't die

5. i don't have to look at my least favorite character every fricken episode

Bleach is pretty good. Deathnote is better.

I find both entertaining. I think Death Note is a tad better mostly because it was shorter and you got to the end quicker and the characters and plot was far more intresting. Though i did get confused sometimes, especially in the manga. Bleach is fun to watch as well... but gets a bit predictable.
