Question English literature - 01-23-2008, 07:32 AM

I am studin' English literature and I have a lot of questions.

I find it difficult to understand Beowulf and so on.

I am searching for help and if you can help or just give me some useful websites. I will appriciat it.

Lol, I'd say "Good luck with Beowulf" to just about everyone. Olde English may be an interesting study of itself, but it's a pain in the ass anywhere else XP .

But, of course, if you're looking for online resources, there are always things like Cliff'sNotes and the like. Wikipedia would have plenty of analytical what-to-do about it.

Ultimately, though, I'd say "Just watch the movie--it was more fun." (Even if the movie had very little to do with the actual legend XD ) .

I read that in it's poem form or whatever it's called in Highschool my senior year. It wasn't horrible to understand but you did have to think about it a bit. I got through with the class with a pretty good understanding and my advice to you is to google it and see if you can get an explanation or at least something to translate some of that old English used. Good luck with your search.

what kind of movie should i watch to enhance my ability of understandin such works?
I really want to watch but i just dont know how to find the right one.
