Can Anyone Help Me With French Vocabulary? - 04-20-2008, 10:41 PM

I'm learning French and I want to know how to say words like apple, chair, exc...
So if anyone here speaks at least a bit of French and could teach me some vocabulary words, it would be greatly appreciated. =) Any nouns are fine.

Apple = Pomme
Chair = Chaise

But you could just go on an English-French online dictionary to find nouns.

I know pretty well French here are my favorite phrases.

Je suis toute raplapla.= Im flat like a tire(meaning is that your very exhausted).
Je suis malade= I'm sick.
comment ça va?= How's going.

Oh lá lá!= oh no!
Pénible= Pain in the neck!
Pas question= out of the question(no way).
if you need help tell me.

Does that really exist..?

Well I could help. You should probably learn that every noun in French is either masculine or feminine, and has to have an article in front of it (eg. un, une or des). This tells you whether it's masculine, feminine or plural, eg...

un chien (a dog) - masculine
une souris (a mouse) - feminine
des chats (some cats) - plural

Yeah it's annoying because in English there aren't 'genders'... XD

So the only way to know is to learn them.
