Go for broke, Japan!!! - 07-23-2008, 07:51 PM

Go for broke, Japan! | The Japan Times Online

amusing article published by Japan Times a few days ago....

it's related to everyday use of English....

In a communist country, there's one president who grabs all life's benefits, dozens of burocrats who drain tax payers' money and 8 million go through harsh starvation.

That was a pretty enjoyable article. It felt like I was almost reading something out of a comical book, or comic.

That's pretty funny and pretty accurate actually. Foreign students I help always end up saying random expressions that just don't get used anymore. hehe. Though, I must admit, I find it far more amusing than the wine drinker. haha

When I first went to England, I was around 13 years old and was living with a host family, a couple in their 50ies, and one night we were having dinner and it was pouring out there, and the man just goes: "Woah it's raining cats and dogs" I was like O_Ô No kidding? Ran up to the window and saw just water x)

everything is relative and contradictory ~
