Help! English Retoric - 10-21-2009, 07:53 PM

I'm amazed by the metaphors like these

from

Sakkara’s Stairway to Heaven | iTourNow

"At dusk the wind whispers as you sit in silence and count six steps that lead to the sky, the steps get smaller as they ascend against the blue background. Is that how easy it is to get to heaven?"

"Travelling Egypt is more than making a foreign friend, eating flatbread and hummus, or buying a stuffed camel; it’s about the feeling that there is something more majestic, something more than meets the eye."

Does any know of any guidebooks that provide examples of making these sentences? Thank you so much in advance!

Ah... that I might assist you in your longing quest, that you may bring to fruit those desires of learning.

Anyway... this link may give you a start.

Rhetoric and Composition — Rhetoric

Good luck. Let me know.

(I have been accused of being somewhat rhetorical myself)

Oh well!

One day, there will be common understanding.
With that, comes empathy and compassion"
