it could mean (if your referring to yourself) that your halfway up the promotion ladder in your career?
im not sure otherwise, plus iv had a few to drink.. Asahi beers so nice... so sorry if my spellings really bad or my sentences atre confusing:p

i believe tsukikage is right ^^

i think its when you are at a middle ground in your work
you have not yet reached the top of the chain but you have succeded in moving up (being promoted)

i agree with the definition given by the other JF members...just to add further on the meaning, mid-career is a 'halfway stage of career: the middle stage of a career (usually work-related), when somebody is established but has many more working years remaining'...well, i got it from an online dictionary so the words are kind of dull...:)

nway, hope this helps! :vsign:

thanks everybody!!! really appreciate your help!!! this word is coming from job offer (sales stuff) in ''type'' column . so ,in this situation what do they mean ? that i would have oportunity for career growth ? Can progress only untill mid-career? Or i must be at mid-career (must have experience)for getting this job? please help!

angellight 03-12-2007 03:11 PM

i'm supposing a mid-career means the middle years of ones career - thus it might mean that there's a prerequisite of experience? i don't really think any job would advertise abt only giving the opportunity to reach half the ladder right? but i'm not too clear..haha..any other opinions? =)
