I'm Chinese (from good old Macau) and I just realised I'm not as bad at chinese as I thought I was, I actually read and understood what you guys were saying. But I'm clueless on simplified Chinese and mandarin!

Okay, I'm not Chinese (sorry to interrupt your conversation) and I sooooo want to know more about Chinese!!! What's the difference between Simplified and Traditionnal, though? Is there one more complicated? Is everybody able to learn Chinese?

Oh, and a last question: how can you have four accentuation in your speech! I just sooo wanna speak chinese!!! (I tried learning by myself with a website that looked good, but for the accentuation, not that good...)

Does somebody want to help me?

What's the difference between Simplified and Traditional
In term of writing (chinese character): Simplified have less steps (used in China, Singapore and etc..) Traditional have more steps (used in Hong Kong and Taiwan)

yes, in term of writing traditional chinese is more complicated.

Is everybody able to learn Chinese?
yes, if they spend enough time at it

*and also if you're talking about learning to speak the language, there are 2.. Mandarin & Cantonese
