I've always been attracted to the Japanese culture, even as a little kid. I can't explain it but it's just amazing.

Actually, four months ago, I didn't give a s*** about Japan. But then I started watching Inuyasha, which only had dubbed episodes halfway through (where I was watching it). So I was hearing the language and became interested in the language because I'm a linguistics nerd. Of course, you can't learn about a language without learning about the people who speak it, so, there ya go.

I'm now a Japanophile, where this time last year I shunned otakus and J-nerds.

I've always loved stuff about Japan for some reason. The Japanese arts, language and attitudes seem to bring me some sortof Nostalgia that shouldn't exist.
Ever since I was a kid I was fascinated with Japanese stuff, more so later on.
The honour, respect and consideration of others etc is something that i'm not accustomed to very much where I grew up.
Even so, its wrong to put anything up on a pedestal because we might be sorely disappointed by its faults in the end.

I don't really love Japan but I like Japan too much.Because of it's really interesting culture because of buddhism and the whole ninjas and samurai thing.I really appreciate martial arts. That is about it.

There's a man, a moderator whom I respect both as a person and a moderator but when he became active again, early 2008 the whole thing just went wrong...everyone thought it will be better... but kids need playgrounds.
In january people left the forum, later others did too. There are 5 members on JF who really do come frequently. That is not enough for me, guys. One
