People nowadays think of time as a line, so when it says 'end of time', people imagine no more line.
But the Mayan time is in a circle, time merely begins again. Plus they have no 'end of the world' prophecy. It's just a time cycle... When all the planets aligned, it wasn't the end, or when the year 2000 arrived there was no end... but for some it's fun to fantasize such things, and I guess an imagination is ok. |

The world changes every day. New technologies, medical advances, different teen behavior. (Ever watched Maury? Ha ha I don't think I need to explain myself any more). I'm sure this is what kireikoori meant. What's so special about 2012 anyway? I could understand why people would think that the world would end in 2000. It's a totally different thousand!
