I don't think I've ever gotten weird IMs, but I've gotten some pretty strange text messages from random people before... one was asking me for phone sex. >_>
Turned out to be one of my friends who was drunk. Imagine his embarrassment when he looked through his phone and saw it the next day!! Things were a bit awkward for awhile. :P Scary messages can be easily avoided for the most part, though. Just don't accept them from people you don't know.

Perhaps my worst experience was when different people started to call and text me, mostly gays. Perhaps i would recieve 20 calls and 100 text messages back then, i dunno why. They would ask me for sex, and whatever, they told me that they saw my number in a sex tabloid. I'm shocked because i never did that and this bunch of homos would start to call me. They said that according to the tabloid, "i'm a 14 year old virgin looking for sex gays or female". I had to change my number because of that incident. Perhaps a typing error from that tabloid's editor.

i recieved a text on my phone about my brother. that i needed to pick him up the airport because his car died out. but what i noticed was that 1. he does not know how to text. 2. it was a different phone number. 3. i just seen him last night and he did not state he was going to be at the airport. 4. the airport is really far and he is afraid of driving on highways and far places.
i decided to call the number and it sorta sounded like my brother but there was a lot of back ground noise.. i tried to call my brother at his house phone and there was no answer.. so i ignored it. i stayed home . about an hour later some guy came knocking on my door and asking for me.. i asked who he was threw the door and he said an old friend. he did not realize i was the person he was lookin for. well long story short he was an online stalker and tried to kidnap me. called to cops because creepy guy was at my porch waiting.  it isn't the pollution that is harming our environment, its the impurities in the air and in the water that are doing it"
