Toyota Corolla or Mitsubishi Lancer?

it's my friend's sisters 17th birthday and he's going to buy her a brand new car!
(okay that Lancer is actually an 07 one but it looks like an 08 so whatever lol)
I actually have to help him decide. We narrowed it down alot. We went from
Scion TC, to Honda Accord, to all other Imports we could think of and we came
down to the most fuel effecient ones with decent prices. The Corolla is actually
REALLY good car, it may not be Tokyo Drift status but HEY, gas is high in
California... might as well be smart about it.
The Lancer I thought was EH, i'm not too big on Mitsubishi cars (my brother
had a 97 eclipse and it totally failed on him. He's alive though lol)
The only reason we chose Lancer over Honda Accord is because she HATES
Honda. Like a 17 year old girl knows whats good for her!! lol... Why don't
anyone like HOnda's anymore??? The youth these days are all trying to ride
around in Lexus and Mercedes... which actually is a dream of mine too but

I would get the lancer myself cuz it looks more better. If you want more speed and power you should get the lancer, for gas saver and low maintenance the Toyota will be a better choice.

Don't like either... But if I had to choose between the two, I'd choose the Lancer.

An EVO VII FQ300 is a much nicer car compared with a Corolla.

Now if you had said Celica GT4 or SSII VVTi .... I'd be hard pressed to say

Actually a Corolla T-Sport is pretty damn fast. My friend has a small version and it flies pretty much.

I change my vote from Lancer to corolla, especially for a 17 year old.

Personally i wouldnt give a 17 year old a new car, much less something costing $60,000 give here some aroud $15,000 and 2000 and under. I have seen and heard to many stories of newbies wraping new cars aroud light polls due to inexperience and showing off. Something like a 2000 saturn SL1 or or SL2, something in that category

Hate me if you like, but that's my personal thought.
