Racism in the west

I was thinking this to myself and then thought to ask it here.

Question - Do you think that there is a single black man in America, Great Britain or Australia etc. who will have lived his whole life without suffering some sort of discrimination because of his colour ??

I think the answer is - there isnt ! - which then means that EVERY black man and woman will have already suffered, or will suffer, the effects of racism at some point in their life !!

That is truly messed up.

btw - are there many black people in japan ??

Here in Sweden I think it is very much Racism.
I hear racistic words every day at school, it's pretty
annoying, I don't know how it is in Japan though.

Discrimination is everywhere. Humans aren't so accepting of differences. If you're different from the majority (race, religion, opinions, style whatever), you're liable to cop some flak.

I have no idea. Your question is pretty straightforward but I think all you will recieve in response is conjecture and opinion - nothing factual.

Racism is rife throughout the 3rd world too. An inordinate amount of West Africans are tribally racist - and they truly make name calling look civilised in how they treat rival tribes - especially where money and jobs are involved.

I don't believe the colour of ones skin makes any difference to thier ability to function as human beings. But poverty and jealousy in my opinion are largely responsible for racism. I can think of no other factor that perpetuates it.

I'd have to say no. It's truly sad and yes, it is messed up. I live in Alabama and there are alot of racists here. It makes me just seething mad. Why should skin color matter at all? It's like hating someone with blond hair or blue eyes. It's just crazy.

No clue on the black population in Japan, sorry.

I've seen plenty of Jamaicans and Afro-Americans in Japan, they mostly were working in Roppongi singing the "tits and beer" chorus with the Aussies

Well open racism opression of blacks in america only ended 40 years ago. So we are to expect things like this for quite a while. Oh and I don't believe that any ethnic person can go though life without racism actually any person because everyone at one point or another face racism at some point.

However, racism is real against white people in colored peoples countries, too. In many middle eastern countries they hunt white people and cut their heads off on television! Are you fogeting about that?

In Africa the blacks arn't as bad as the arabs, but you still get it. SE Asia is pretty cool, it is Buddhism. - It makes for very welcoming and accepting people.

So why do you make a thread on racism from whites to blacks? Do you not realize this goes both ways?
