do know artist Kusama Yayoi's birthday and q about Japanese email -

hello,
ok it's strange question, but i will try to explain...i would really like to pleasantly surprise a friend of mine by acknowledging her birthday, hopefully unexpectedly. all i know about when it is, a while ago, she mentioned the strange coincidence that it is the same as artist Kusama Yayoi's birthday. i've checked online, and most sources have stated that Kusama's birthday is March 29. This seems like it should be simple... but one (annoying!) site listed Kusama's birthday as March 22. I would ignore this as probably being a mistake, but... in friend's email address are a string of numbers 3 2 2. From a western perspective, i would think this would probably represent the month and day of a birthday which suggests march 22. but i wonder if there are other common number significances that are likely to appear in Japanese email addresses. I see from some mass emails sent out by another friend, that many email Japanese email addresses include a string of 3 or 4 numbers. and the order of writing out dates is different than American 'month, day, year' way, although maybe many younger Japanese have adapted US way of writing it. Well, any input would help. PMs would be much appreciated. I would love to send a nice message, and actually send it on the correct day! thanks MC |

thank you so much!!! that's 2 for march 22. the other source that said this was imdb, which i guess is reputable enough; but why are all these other artist related sites giving different info???
other sources, especially Japan-based sited, would really be appreciated. the day is very soon, and it would suck to miss it; i would also feel really dumb if i sent a Birthday wish a week early. thanks MC |
