You should look into enabling it. It'd be fun. A forum I go to running off VB has it enabled however giving people negative reputation has been disabled. So basically those with higher rep power means they get more reputation.

Not a bad idea at all. The top three with the highest rep could get a little special something, or be default candidates for 'stuff'... Kinda like "Santa's coming, so you'd better be good if you want presents." xD Good way to ensue all-round good proper norms.

I like it, but it's another thing deciding the basis of your reputation. Apparently this forum is becoming more of a general forum than anything else. I may as well quit JF if someone who has never said much or a word about Japan gets nominated. Get my drift?
