Yea, I get you don't like it. What I meant is when using such negative words you're not only enforcing your opinion but making it sound worse than it really is.

Like when vegans call eggs chicken period to try and gross out people who like it. It's true but it's also creating hyperbole for a negative spin.

Eh, I have my moments.

Wearing fur is a fashion thing, and also a matter of class. Everyone knows real fur is expensive. It's incredibly comfortable, and incredibly warm. If warn right can even look quite nice at time of the year.

Sure it's sad an animal died. Guess what? It's nature. The natural order if you will. Animals kill other animals. Us being humans are also animals. It may not be for food but it is a need to some. Some people make a living off of making fur clothing. They have nothing else they can do. You guys make it sound like the skinner is grinning and laughing as he/she skins the "poor poor cuddly cute animal". Skinners and fur tailors don't get off to doing this. They do it because it's how they make a living. No one cares though if several thousand people would lose their jobs if the fur industry came to a stop though.

I find it quite numerous how anti-fur advocates will actually claim to "hate" a person just because they wear fur. If you want to look at it fairly it's on the same level as hating something because they're gay.

All of the anti-fur advocates in this thread are just... well laughable. You call it arrogant, you call it inhumane and sick, and you call it disgraceful. Look at yourselves. You're hating and wishing harm on other human beings out of pure ignorance.

Whatever though, I guess the saying is true. PeTA doesn't care about people.

How bad it is is subject to opinion >.< And yeah, I intend to enforce my opinion. I could say, 'It's a pretty little dead animal that passed away at the roadside so they wear it as a tribute to the animals passing.' But that would ruin my arguement >.< [And it's a load of crap, but it was just an example.]

That's a good point actually. But I still don't see the need for use of endangered species.

Well endangered species is different. That's sort of a waste.

I used to work at a thrift store pricing women's clothing......
and a few times we would get fur in....
*shivers*
I'd get the hibbie jibbies touching the pelt.
They were always rabbit and fox pelt.
Beautifully designed, but still.
I couldn't touch them.
*shivers*
so the store manager had to price them and rack them for me.

we are such greedy creatures x]
always desiring rarities and treats
rarely contenting in what we have before us
and taking granted of it x]

kyuuu~
this one can only say such things x]
because it is quite descriptive of this one`
though....x]
let it be known that this one has no honest
interest as to the acquisition of rare, endangered,
or even common animal pelts x]

Food is a much more substantial and endearing motivation for this one
=3
off topic, but has anyone ever tasted madai? <3

Alas, my love you do me wrong
To cast me off discourteously
For I have loved you well and long
Delighting in your company...

I'm pretty neutral about fur. I don't mind people wearing it, touching it, etc, but I don't really wear it (Fake or real).
