This thread wasn't necessarily meant for "praising" soldiers.

It's actually kind of funny.
This thread was originally more meant as a shout-out than a discussion... but it kind of turned into it's own little debate.
With that said, since it hasn't been closed yet, it's basically a free-for-all. Anything related to the military is relevant - whether it's a praise or an insult.

In my opinion, most of what's been discussed has been, for the most part, constructive.
SPAM is still intolerable, of course.

It just felt really directed towards me when all I was doing was trying to defend. I have alot of german friends. I have alot of " hippy" friends and it made me a little irritated. But you're right maybe next time I should just ignore it.

The only thing I really can't stand about American haters is thier constant accusing of the citizens. Regardless of our constitution we have little power. :/
I just wish other countries realize a regular American has just as much power over our government as they do.
There are so many protest.
So many movements and still we see nothing.
When I'm not sick,I work really hard to try and make things better on earth both political and environmental.
But I have all things working against me my age, sex, background and lack of degree.
People who are like " Americans are dumb" .. well it just bothers me because regardless of where I was born I am american and I'm not what they're ranting about.



But there are far worse places on earth.
I like my home I'm used to it and I don't mind putting up a fight.

Ontopic: I'm really quite lost in this thread, it has grown more than the last time I commented in here ^_^ but I can see alot of people are just focusing on the bad and not the people who actually work there asses off (Not like FLuffy in the restroom with other men) but actually try to become and do something good. Sure people go crazy, thats the way people are, they go crazy from bordom and from seeing things they have never seen in there life. Its true most people in here couldn't pass off as a rich king but neither can people on the outside, so I don't see what point that was suppose to show. Some in here come from rich families who want there baby to have a metal to show off to there relatives but they mostly go into something like a cook in the military. Some here do further there education and some sign up for combat. Either way the money you earn from the military goes back to to them so I'm not sure why people join.

The world needs doctors, teachers, nurses, people to make the clothes to build the houses, make rocket ships, travel in space, explore there are tons of professions.

Even with good grades and a neck for somesort of art you wont always be picked. I wanted to be a teacher but I needed money for schooling. I wanted to be so many things but people don't always see eye to eye, I have a family to take care of. I can't steal all the time I had to find a job but I was always turned away just because of the way I was raised and so I ended up here. No matter how much experince you have sometimes they just don't pick you because of your background and thats Bullshit but it happens. Many in here are struggling some of them are not good people but most of them that matter are.

I do have friends in the military.
The military fucks people up.
It trains them to agree with death and brutality, a complete brain wash.

There's always alternatives. Joining the military is simply easy.
It's easy to kill for money for comfortable living.
It's the same reason why people get into gangs or mafias.
But that doesn't mean it's right and that doesn't mean I or Suki should support it.

We think the way we want. You don't have to egree and arguing is a waste of time.
