I understand what you mean, Suki, but you know, a soldier doesn't necessarily choose why he (or she) is going to war. You are a soldier first; A politician second -- maybe.

It's a bit of a cliché, but I can only simply describe it as the Warrior's Spirit.
JAYDELART. your my fucking hero man.

Killing is as easy as making toast in the morning. All of my friends would kill someone without blinking an eye. - I know thats prolly fucked up - but its true.

back in the day when the world was fighting germany - each side had more or less the same level of armoury but now more and more i see and notice that one half of the world (western) is armed to the teeth - but the enemy is always some guy in the desert with nothing but an ak and the odd rocket/grenade launcer.

thats why its hard to equate current armed forces to the heroes of the past.

The things that come to those who wait are the things that are left by those who got there first !

WW2, for the most part, was a war fought against soldiers, not hostile civilians with firearms.

The circumstances back then were completely different from today.
It's like comparing a football player to a soccer player; They both have similar goals, but play under different rules, and require different skills.

It's not easy fighting an enemy that can openly walk by you with a weapon and have the option of aiming it at you the minute you turn your back. Don't think so lightly of it.
War is not the same as it is glorifed in movies and video games.

I'm not even going to continue to try and explain it to you.
The point you're trying to make is disrespectful, and would offend any soldier.

Don't take it personally, but I'd rather not participate any further in your argument.
